GILBERT SENCHI

When international artist Gilbert Senchi presented us with his vision for this jaguar, the challenge was clear: we needed to go beyond the standard mold to achieve visceral and organic realism. This project became a study of patience and craftsmanship, as we worked to connect heavy metal with the fluid and silent movement of a jungle predator.

Tactile Ferocity: the Jaguar Senchi

The distinctive feature of this masterpiece is the meticulous handcrafting of the jaguar's tracks (spots and marks). Instead of relying on automated patterns, each indentation was crafted by hand to ensure a natural and non-repetitive flow that mimics the true anatomy of the animal. This deep texture allowed us to achieve a striking visual tension: a high-contrast finish where deep matte blacks settle in the manually carved cavities, making the polished bronze highlights stand out with a golden sheen. The result is a piece that captures the true essence of the animal, balancing the raw and unyielding strength of bronze with the intricate and delicate patterns of the natural world.
