Our challenge was to redefine the structural boundaries of bronze, moving away from classical statuary to delve into the world of organic and high-end interior design. We aimed to create a functional work of art that seemed to defy gravity, using advanced casting techniques to achieve a level of complexity and lightness rarely seen in such a dense and historical medium.
Transcending Tradition: The New Era of Bronze
By merging parametric modeling with the ancient craft of bronze casting, we developed a table base that mimics the delicate interwoven structures of organic growth. This design pushes the material to its limits, maintaining its structural integrity through fine and elegant curves that wrap and intertwine into a unique and cohesive form. The result is an emblematic piece for interior spaces that combines pure metallic strength with the ethereal movement of nature, demonstrating that even the oldest materials can be reinvented for the future.
