The greatest challenge in additive manufacturing is the structural weakness caused by the layering union. The laser sintering powder bed process solves this problem by ensuring that parts have nearly uniform mechanical properties across all axes (X, Y, Z). This gives engineers the confidence that the part will respond predictably to any stress.

Multiaxial structural resistance and reliability.

This mechanical uniformity, or isotropic behavior, is vital for components subject to complex stresses or high internal pressures. By cohesively melting the material in a controlled temperature environment, the resulting piece behaves like a continuous solid. This allows load calculations to be performed with the same precision as with an injected piece, ensuring that the component will not fail due to delamination under real stress.
